Hello,

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a predoctoral fellow at the Center for Demography and Ecology, where I also hold master's degrees in Computer Science and Statistics.

I study the complex systems and networks humans are part of — how people move between places, whom they are connected to, which institutions touch their lives — and how those systems perpetuate inequality. Drawing on advanced methods from statistics and computer science, I show how many of the objects sociology conventionally measures dramatically misestimate how much inequality these systems produce, and I challenge standard assumptions about how they work and how they should be measured.

My work has been published in Science Advances, Demography, Social Problems, Social Networks, Social Science & Medicine, City & Community, Nature Scientific Reports, Social Science Research, and Socius, and has received awards from the American Sociological Association.
